song Therapy

Your words. Your story. Your song.

Some moments in life are too deep for everyday conversation.
In Song Therapy, your words become music, giving voice to what has been living inside you all along.

Sometimes the song is just for you, held close in a private session. Other times it is shared in a circle, where your music medicine resonates the hearts of others. In group settings, we often discover that someone else’s song is the one that reaches us most. We remember that healing is not a solo act. We carry and are carried by one another’s stories.

This is not performance. It is presence.
We gather in a safe, unhurried space where whatever wants to rise, be it grief, hope, joy, longing, love, fear, or relief, is welcome. You are guided into a gentle writing process that lets your words come through as they are, unpolished and unplanned. Then, those words are offered back to you as a song, sung in real time, so you can hear and feel your truth in a whole new way.

What Happens in Song Therapy

The Circle
Whether in person or online, we sit together in a shared space of deep listening. The circle itself is part of the medicine.

Automatic Writing
In session, Miranda Dawn expertly guides you through a simple automatic writing process, helping you access a place where your inner voice can speak freely. No need to be poetic or perfect, only honest.

The Song
Your unedited words are shaped into melody and given life by a songhealer who steps into your shoes with empathy, holding your story as if it were their own.

What People Say

"In under an hour I moved from being overwhelmed with emotions to feeling a lift, a shift, and hopefulness. I expected to have to write perfect lyrics, but my random heartfelt words were transformed into a beautiful healing song thanks to the intuitive songwriters." — Julie

"Our words, once held in sacred space, were birthed in song. In sweet relief, they were revealed in new light — to be grieved, surrendered, and celebrated. Serenity prevailed. Forgiveness reigned sovereign. Our confetti lyrics became something new, not pain but purpose and understanding." — Reagan

"One of the most spiritual things I have experienced." — Nathan

A Story From the Circle

"We all had those treasure chests of mix tapes — the breakup songs, the road trip songs, the ones that felt like they were ours alone. Last Sunday, I stepped into a song therapy circle, nervous and ready to share only part of my story. But something in the welcome, the blankets, and the calm opened me up. I shared my pain and it was transformed into a song. My song. And it washed over me the way only music can. I cried, and I felt stronger. Because someone wrote my song." — Jackie

About Miranda DAWN

I have spent my life listening for the song beneath the words. As a songwriter, performer, therapist, and life coach, I have witnessed how music can open the heart in ways nothing else can. Whether I am on stage performing with Dawn and Hawkes or holding space in a Song Therapy circle, my work is about helping people feel seen, heard, and understood, and reminding them that their story matters.

I shared in that circle my hurt and my pain and a bucket of tears. And it washed over me. In a way that only music can from the treasure chest of mix tapes that live in my soul. And the words feel like my heart put to music. And I cried. And I felt stronger because of that song. Because someone wrote my song.
— Jackie Hooks
